It's fantastic, in fact ! I could tell the goal in life is actually the choices you made into it and to be more specific yet annoying. The goal is to pass through different stages, that you always have the choice to change whatever you want in your life. So when you worried about the goal in your main existance, it's just a hint to say you have to change something and you have to make it by yourself.
